Senior Tax and Accounting Expert – UAE

About the role

We are looking for a senior tax and accounting professional to lead our UAE accounting and tax team. The successful candidate will own month‑end closing, compliance, and client delivery while driving team performance and development.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and supervise the accounting & tax team, allocate work and ensure quality control.
• Oversee the full accounting cycle, month‑end and year‑end closing, and review financial statements and management reports.
• Manage UAE VAT compliance (registration, filing, refunds, audits) and corporate tax registrations, calculations and filings.
• Advise clients on VAT and corporate tax matters and act as primary contact for key clients.
• Liaise with the Federal Tax Authority and external auditors, supporting audits and tax assessments.
• Assist management with process improvement and internal controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 5‑7 years of UAE experience in accounting and taxation within an accounting firm.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and corporate tax law and experience with FTA audits.
• Proven team leadership and supervisory experience.
• Excellent English communication and analytical skills.
