Senior Technical Engineer – Glazing (Steel & Aluminium)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Technical Engineer specialized in steel and aluminium glazing systems to join our forward‑thinking team in Dubai. You will provide technical, commercial and problem‑solving support for the design, specification and delivery of complex glazing solutions across commercial and residential projects.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver expert advice and technical support for the design, specification and installation of steel and aluminium glazing systems, ensuring compliance with project and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare accurate quotations, technical submittals and bespoke proposals aligned with current standards and architectural specifications.
• Interpret and review architectural drawings, design intent documents and specification schedules to propose compliant glazing solutions.
• Collaborate with sales, estimating, operations and procurement teams to optimise system selection, costing and delivery schedules.
• Produce and deliver technical presentations to stakeholders, clarifying product performance, compliance and application suitability.
• Resolve technical queries throughout the project lifecycle through clear communication with internal and external teams.

Required profile

• Extensive knowledge of steel and aluminium glazing systems, including façade, window, door assemblies, curtain walling, fire‑rated and security glazing.
• Strong understanding of relevant standards (BS, EN, CE, CWCT) and building regulations (Part L, Part K, Part B).
• Experience reviewing structural calculations, thermal and acoustic performance data, and compliance documentation.
• Ability to evaluate technical drawings, elevation plans and system layouts to support robust design solutions.
• Proficiency with digital design, estimation and project‑management tools specific to the glazing industry.
