Senior Tubular Running Services Operator

About the role

The Senior Tubular Running Services (TRS) Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient handling, installation, and running of tubular equipment during drilling or completion operations. The role ensures proper assembly and deployment of pipes, maintains well integrity and minimizes operational risks.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain tubular handling equipment, including elevators, slips, power tongs, and Casing Running Tools (CRT).
• Supervise and lead the TRS crew in tubular handling and installation activities on site.
• Conduct pre‑job inspections and equipment checks, focusing on CRT readiness.
• Assist in planning and preparing tubular running services aligned with well programs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues during tubular running, especially related to CRT equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, safety inspections, and incidents.
• Provide technical guidance and training to junior operators and crew members.
• Communicate with on‑site engineers, supervisors, and other personnel to ensure smooth operations.
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend repairs or replacements as needed.
• Perform post‑job evaluations to identify improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Engineering diploma or higher (mandatory).
• At least 10 years of hands‑on experience in tubular running services, including 4 years in crew supervision.
• Extensive experience with Casing Running Tools (CRT) and their application.
• Strong technical knowledge of tubular handling equipment and well operations.
• Solid understanding of well engineering and completion processes.
• Preferred certifications: Tubular Running Services certification, HSE, BOSIET.
