Senior Waiter – Luxury Hotel Dining

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Waiter to join the upscale dining team at SO/ Uptown Dubai. In this leadership‑focused position you will manage a dedicated section, deliver refined service, and help create memorable experiences for our discerning guests.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and operate your assigned section with professionalism and confidence.
• Provide attentive, knowledgeable service across all food and beverage offerings.
• Coordinate closely with kitchen, bar, and support teams to ensure smooth service flow.
• Mentor and support junior team members, modelling best practices.
• Maintain impeccable presentation, cleanliness, and service standards throughout your shift.
• Accurately take and process guest orders, handling special requests with empathy.
• Address guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and courteously.
• Manage table setup, coordination, and breakdown efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene protocols.
• Utilise POS systems for order processing and billing.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of progressive waiter experience in upscale dining or luxury hospitality.
• Proven ability to manage a section and deliver high‑quality guest service.
• Strong communication skills and the capacity to mentor junior staff.
• Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Cultural sensitivity and inclusive behavior in a multicultural environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Point of Sale (POS) systems.
