Senior Water Design Engineer

About the role

The Senior Engineer – Water (Design) is a key member of the Water & Environment Design Unit, responsible for delivering design solutions of moderate complexity and supporting project teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and report progress of water and environment design activities to the Manager.
• Develop design deliverables upon request from Project Managers in design centres.
• Prepare and submit design packages to local authorities for approvals and permits.
• Present design deliverables to clients, capture feedback, and ensure timely incorporation of comments.
• Support Project Managers with tender queries, bid evaluations, and coordination with authorities for construction permits.
• Review internal design deliverables before construction starts and provide technical comments.
• Offer technical support to supervision teams during construction and manage change requests.
• Implement corporate policies and procedures throughout the design process.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Water or Environment Engineering (Master’s degree is a plus).
• 10+ years of experience in architecture, engineering or planning consultancy, focused on water and environment design.
• Proven experience coordinating with authorities in the Middle East, preferably the UAE.
• Chartered Professional Engineer status or equivalent is preferred.
• Strong command of spoken and written English; Arabic is an advantage.
