Ship Master – Offshore Vessel Operations

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Ship Master to lead offshore vessel operations for NMDC Energy PJSC. The Master will be responsible for the overall safety, navigation and regulatory compliance of the vessel while supporting pipe‑laying and anchoring activities in the Arabian Gulf.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the company HSE policy and conduct safety inductions for all crew members.
• Lead regular HSE and safety meetings, issue Master Orders and instructions.
• Perform onboard inspections and safety meetings in line with the Marine Safety Management System (MSMS).
• Review the Marine Safety Management System, report deficiencies and act as the overriding authority for safety and pollution prevention.
• Implement ISPS and ISM codes according to the Ship Security Plan and ensure statutory and class certifications are current.
• Oversee voyage planning, navigation safety and the handling of heavy mooring anchors (50‑70 t gravity blocks) for towing and pipe‑laying operations.

Required profile

• Class 1 Master FG COC II/2 with no limitations.
• 3‑4 years of experience as a Master on offshore vessels.
• Proven experience in towing, anchor handling and heavy mooring operations related to pipe‑laying.
• Experience working in the Arabian Gulf offshore oilfield environment.
• Strong English communication skills.
