Software Support and Implementation Engineer

About the role

The Support Engineer will ensure smooth operation, support and maintenance of the Fuel Retail System across more than 500 fuel stations and the Head Office. The role combines hands‑on infrastructure management with team leadership in a technical environment.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve application, user and system issues for back‑office, POS and bank terminals.
• Maintain high performance of retail systems at the Head Office and all sites, including MS SQL Server‑based environments.
• Provide user support, training and guidance at both the Head Office and fuel stations.
• Collaborate with vendors and external teams to resolve third‑party system problems.

Required profile

• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop a high‑performing support team.
• Ability to manage high‑pressure situations and lead incident responses.
• Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented and capable of working independently.

Required skills

• Infrastructure support experience (networking, servers, storage, cloud, security).
• Familiarity with POS systems, bank terminals and related hardware.
• Proficiency in MS SQL Server, writing queries and scripts.
• Understanding of web services, APIs and IP‑based protocols.
• Knowledge of networking protocols, firewalls, VPNs and network management tools.
