Sonographer

About the role

The Sonographer will perform a wide range of ultrasound procedures, ensuring high standards of patient care, safety, and diagnostic accuracy. Working closely with radiologists and multidisciplinary teams, you will support timely and precise diagnoses using advanced imaging technology.

Key responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound examinations including abdominal, obstetric, vascular, pediatric, and general studies.
• Prepare and position patients, ensuring comfort, safety, and clear communication.
• Operate and monitor ultrasound equipment and imaging systems (RIS/PACS) to produce high‑quality diagnostic images.
• Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to support accurate diagnosis and clinical outcomes.
• Maintain accurate patient records, reports, and imaging data in line with regulatory requirements.
• Ensure adherence to Department of Health regulations, JCI standards, and internal quality and safety protocols.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Radiography, Radiology Technology, or Diagnostic Imaging.
• Minimum 2 years of post‑qualification experience in sonography.
• Valid DOH/DHA license (or DOH eligibility) as Sonographer.
• BLS certification (ACLS/PALS is an advantage).
• Strong knowledge of sonographic procedures, imaging protocols, and best practices.
• Excellent communication and patient interaction skills with cultural sensitivity.
