Specialist Consultant - Brain Injury Medicine

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Specialist / Consultant in Brain Injury Medicine with an Australian Board or Fellowship qualification to join a leading healthcare institution in the UAE. The role involves providing comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation management for patients with traumatic and acquired brain injuries.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and manage patients with traumatic and acquired brain injuries, including concussion and stroke‑related injuries.
• Develop individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans based on clinical needs.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care with neurology, neurosurgery, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and other specialists.
• Provide medical management across acute, sub‑acute and rehabilitation phases.
• Monitor neurological status, recovery and functional outcomes.
• Counsel patients and families on diagnosis, treatment options, prognosis and rehabilitation pathways.
• Maintain accurate medical records and contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.

Required profile

• Recognised Australian Board/Fellowship qualification in Brain Injury Medicine.
• Valid medical registration in Australia or the country of current practice.
• Relevant clinical experience in brain injury medicine, rehabilitation, neurology or a closely related field.
• Strong multidisciplinary and rehabilitation‑focused clinical background.
• Eligibility for UAE medical licensing, subject to health authority assessment.
