Specialist in Intensive & Critical Care (Sharjah)

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Specialist in Intensive and Critical Care Medicine to join a leading healthcare facility in Sharjah. The role involves delivering advanced, evidence‑based care to critically ill patients in the ICU, working within a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for critically ill patients, managing sepsis, multi‑organ failure, respiratory failure and trauma.
• Perform and interpret advanced hemodynamic monitoring and ventilatory support.
• Insert and manage central venous catheters, arterial lines and conduct intubations.
• Lead resuscitation efforts and emergency critical care interventions.
• Collaborate with anesthesiology, emergency medicine, surgery and internal medicine teams.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and ensure adherence to ICU protocols and infection‑control standards.
• Supervise junior doctors, residents and ICU nursing staff.
• Participate in multidisciplinary ward rounds, case discussions and quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
• Board certification or equivalent specialization in Intensive/Critical Care Medicine.
• 3–5 years of ICU experience, preferably post‑specialization.
• Eligibility for UAE medical licensing (MOHAP for Sharjah).
• Strong clinical judgment, ability to work under pressure and excellent teamwork skills.
