Specialist, Obstetrics & Gynaecology

About the role

The Specialist in Obstetrics & Gynaecology will deliver high‑quality, evidence‑based care to women across the full spectrum of obstetric and gynecological services. Working within M42’s multidisciplinary environment, the role focuses on clinical excellence, patient safety, and a positive patient experience.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient obstetrics and gynecology services.
• Assess, diagnose, and manage routine and high‑risk obstetric cases, including antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care.
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of gynecological conditions and perform surgeries within granted clinical privileges.
• Interpret diagnostic investigations such as ultrasound and laboratory results.
• Collaborate with neonatologists, anesthetists, nurses, and allied health professionals to optimise outcomes.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, case discussions, and quality‑improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure informed consent for all procedures.
• Take part in on‑call rotations and emergency coverage as required.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS, MBChB, MD or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
• Completed residency training in Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
• Specialist qualification recognised by the Department of Health, Abu Dhabi.
• Active DOH licence as a Specialist in Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
• 3‑5 years of post‑specialisation experience in a tertiary‑care hospital or equivalent setting.
