Specialist Physiotherapist – Pelvic Health

About the role

The Specialist Physiotherapist / Pelvic Health Specialist provides advanced physiotherapy services for patients with pelvic health conditions, both male and female, at Mediclinic Parkview Hospital. The role requires autonomous clinical practice, multidisciplinary collaboration, and contribution to service development, education and research.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality pelvic health physiotherapy care to complex cases.
• Lead service development, implement best practices and ensure compliance with clinical governance and regulatory standards.
• Support education and training initiatives for staff, patients and junior clinicians.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff, fostering evidence‑based practice.

Required profile

• B.Sc in Physiotherapy or equivalent; POGP courses required, M.Sc in Physiotherapy preferred.
• Basic Life Support certification and mandatory moving‑and‑handling training.
• DHA accreditation or equivalent registration in the country of residence.
• Minimum 4 years specialist experience in pelvic health practice; 6 years post‑graduate experience preferred.
• Experience managing conditions related to pelvic health and musculoskeletal (MSK) background.
