Specialist Process Engineer

About the role

The Specialist Process Engineer will provide technical expertise and engineering oversight for a major offshore ADNOC project, reviewing EPC contractor deliverables and ensuring process design integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Review and validate design basis, PFDs, P&IDs, heat & material balances, process datasheets and calculations.
• Perform or review process simulations using Aspen HYSYS and PRO‑II for offshore facilities.
• Assess equipment sizing, line sizing, relief and blowdown calculations, and process safety documentation.
• Coordinate with mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, civil and other disciplines.
• Participate in HAZID, HAZOP and other safety reviews, and support construction, commissioning and start‑up phases.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Extensive process engineering experience in offshore oil & gas EPC/PMC projects, covering FEED and detailed engineering.
• Proven experience with process design of offshore production facilities and strong knowledge of process safety.

Required skills

• Equipment sizing, line sizing, process datasheets, process calculations.
• Heat and material balances, relief and blowdown calculations.
• Process control philosophies, cause‑effect shutdown requirements.
• Process simulation tools: Aspen HYSYS, PRO‑II.
• PFD and P&ID development and review.
