Specialist - Trucks

About the role

The Specialist – Trucks will own the execution of flat‑bed truck transportation auctions and commercial negotiations for moving finished steel. This role ensures competitive, timely rate capture to support sales order fulfillment and export shipments.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate flat‑bed truck capacity to meet sales delivery timelines and report any shortfalls.
• Run monthly UAE flat‑bed truck auctions on the SCH system and upload awarded rates into SAP.
• Negotiate commercial terms for export shipments via Fujairah and Sohar, and liaise with transporters on capacity and route availability.
• Provide auction results, rate confirmations, and support invoice verification and reconciliation.
• Monitor transporter performance, flag capacity constraints, and communicate risks to management.
• Continuously improve truck contracts from safety, commercial, and operational perspectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration or related field.
• Shipping and Logistics Diploma or Certificate from a recognized institute.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in land transportation, logistics, or auction/tender processes.
• Fluent in Arabic and English.
