Staff Nurse – Pediatric Clinic

About the role

The American Hospital in Dubai is seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse for its Pediatric Clinic. The role involves providing age‑specific, patient‑centered care and supporting a wide range of clinical procedures for children.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with aerosol treatments, Bili Check, circumcision, enteral feeding tube insertion, and HbA1c testing.
• Conduct health history interviews, physical assessments, point‑of‑care testing (influenza, rapid strep), vaccine administration, visual screenings, and specimen collection.
• Provide oral care for infants and toddlers, administer oral medications, perform oro‑nasopharyngeal suctioning, and collect throat swabs.
• Document patient data, maintain supplies, participate in unit meetings, and ensure compliance with JCIA accreditation standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (minimum 3‑year program) or equivalent degree (minimum 2‑year program).
• Registered Nurse license from Canada, USA, UK, Ireland, South Africa, New Zealand, Australia, or a valid UAE license for nationals.
• Minimum of two years recent post‑graduate experience in pediatric nursing.
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) is essential.
