Staff Physician – Breast Medical Oncology

About the role

The Staff Physician in Breast Medical Oncology will join the Cancer Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, providing expert care to patients with breast cancer and related malignancies. This role combines direct clinical management with participation in research and program development.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive oncology care, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy and targeted therapy.
• Analyze patient records, test results and imaging to create individualized treatment plans.
• Communicate diagnoses, treatment options and follow‑up plans with empathy and clarity.
• Participate in the design, execution and monitoring of breast cancer clinical trials.
• Document patient progress, maintain accurate treatment records and coordinate referrals.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary medical and non‑medical staff to ensure high‑quality, culturally sensitive care.
• Uphold ethical, regulatory and clinical privilege standards of the Medical Staff.

Required profile

• MD, MBBS, MBChB or DO with recognized specialty certification (American Board or Royal College of Canada).
• Valid medical license in home country or last place of employment.
• Minimum 2 years post‑qualification experience for Tier 1 physicians or 5 years for Tier 2 physicians.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English; Arabic is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work within a team and manage clinical responsibilities.
