Steel Fixer – Construction Site

About the role

We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Steel Fixer to join our construction team in Dubai. You will read structural drawings, cut and bend reinforcement bars, and secure them in place before concrete pouring, ensuring strict safety standards on‑site.

Key responsibilities

• Read and interpret building blueprints and structural engineering drawings.
• Measure, cut, and bend rebar and mesh using hand and power tools.
• Layout and assemble steel frameworks, mesh grids, and pre‑fabricated cages.
• Fix and secure rebar sections with tie wires, clips, or spot welding.
• Install spacers and supports to maintain correct positioning during concrete pour.
• Collaborate with concrete pourers, formwork carpenters, and supervisors to keep the project on schedule.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Steel Fixer or concrete reinforcement laborer.
• High physical stamina, strength and ability to work at heights or in confined spaces.
• High school diploma or vocational trade certificate (preferred but not required).
• Willingness to work 8 hours plus 2 hours overtime.
• Preferred nationality: Nepal or Sri Lanka.

Required skills

• Ability to read basic structural blueprints and bending schedules.
• Proficiency with rebar tools such as nips, wire reels, power benders, hydraulic shears, angle grinders and oxy‑acetylene torches.
• Mastery of tying techniques (slash ties, ring ties) using pincer nips and tie wire.
• Safe operation of personal protective equipment and fall‑protection gear.
