Steward - Culinary Academy

About the role

The Culinary Academy at Wynn Al Marjan Island is seeking a Steward to join the Kitchen Stewards team. This full‑time position supports the resort’s extensive food‑and‑beverage operations by maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and store crockery, pots, and glassware.
• Sanitize kitchen equipment and work areas, including ovens, stovetops, floors, and ceilings.
• Handle and store cleaning chemicals safely.
• Remove and dispose of kitchen waste.
• Follow instructions from the Steward Team Leader and Supervisor.
• Participate in departmental meetings and promote teamwork.
• Adhere to health, safety, and company policies.
• Support recycling initiatives and waste reduction.

Required profile

• Secondary school completion; higher education is a plus.
• Preferably at least 1 year experience in a 5‑star hotel or integrated resort.
• Physical fitness for high‑area cleaning and heavy lifting.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work under pressure.
• Flexible schedule with shift work.
• Fluent English; additional languages are advantageous.

Required skills

• Knowledge of proper use, handling, and storage of cleaning chemicals.
