Steward - Hotel Kitchen Support

About the role

Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts is hiring a full-time Steward in its Al Mamsha Street property in Dubai. This is a non-management, kitchen support position within the Food and Beverage & Culinary category, supporting several hotel functions such as the kitchen, food and beverage and the employee dining room.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare fresh, clean linen and spotless dining ware for guests.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools such as dishwashing machines and hand wash stations.
• Transport dishware across the hotel.
• Follow company and safety and security policies, and report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries and unsafe conditions to the manager.
• Complete safety training and certifications, and keep a clean, professional appearance while protecting company assets and confidential information.
• Welcome guests according to company standards and speak clearly and professionally with others.
• Maintain positive working relationships, ensure quality standards are met, and perform other reasonable duties requested by supervisors.

Required profile

• No high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
• No related work experience or supervisory experience required.
• No license or certification required.
• Physical demands include standing, sitting or walking for long periods, reaching overhead and below the knees, and lifting up to 25 pounds without assistance.
