Stewarding Team Leader – Hospitality

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Stewarding Team Leader to oversee daily operations of the Stewarding Department at our Uptown Dubai hotel. The role ensures high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and safety across all kitchen and back‑of‑house areas.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily stewarding activities, maintaining pristine cleanliness and organization in kitchen and service areas.
• Manage washing, cleaning and storage of dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans and equipment according to established protocols.
• Oversee waste disposal and ensure compliance with hygiene and environmental standards.
• Ensure opening and closing procedures for stewarding areas are executed consistently.
• Handle equipment maintenance, conduct inventories and control usage of cleaning chemicals.
• Ensure adherence to HACCP, food safety regulations, local UAE legislation and ISO Integrated Management Systems.
• Provide hands‑on supervision, coaching and on‑the‑job training to stewarding team members.

Required profile

• Experienced in stewarding operations within a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Proven leadership abilities to manage and develop a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to hygiene and safety standards.

Required skills

• Knowledge of HACCP standards and food safety regulations.
• Familiarity with ISO Integrated Management Systems.
• Operation and maintenance of dishwashing equipment.
• Understanding of chemical safety protocols and inventory control.
