About the role
The Storekeeper is responsible for receiving, staging, and managing merchandise and supplies for the hotel, ensuring proper storage, rotation, and compliance with food safety standards.
Key responsibilities
- Receive and stage merchandise by department, mark for placement, and deliver to appropriate areas.
- Inspect deliveries for freshness, quality, and accuracy; refuse damaged or incorrect items.
- Store perishables properly, rotate stock, and maintain cleanliness of refrigerators, freezers, and food equipment.
- Complete requisition forms, notify supervisors of low stock, and manage inventory documentation.
- Maintain a safe work environment by reporting accidents, following safety training, and adhering to company policies.
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- No prior related work experience required.
- Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lb and work in various physical conditions.
- Professional appearance and ability to communicate clearly with guests and coworkers.
