Storekeeper

About the role

Courtyard by Marriott in Abu Dhabi is looking for a Storekeeper. The role covers receiving, staging, storing and inspecting merchandise and supplies, keeping stock fresh and safe, and reporting low stock to the manager.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and stage merchandise by department, mark it for placement, stack it on pallets or carts and deliver it to the right department.
• Complete requisition forms for inventory and supplies, and notify the manager or supervisor of low stock.
• Inspect deliveries for freshness, cleanliness, consistency and quality, refuse damaged or incorrect items, and store perishables properly while rotating stock.
• Follow food safety and handling policies across all food-related areas.
• Organize, clean and sanitize refrigerators, freezers, floors, food equipment and drains.
• Remove empty pallets, cardboard and trash to proper storage areas.
• Report accidents, injuries and unsafe conditions, complete safety training and certifications, and follow company policies and confidentiality requirements.
• Interact professionally with guests and colleagues, comply with quality assurance standards, and perform other reasonable duties asked by supervisors.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No related work experience or supervisory experience required.
• Able to stand, sit or walk for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, read small print and move through narrow or uneven spaces.
