Structural Engineer – Steel Bridge Design

About the role

Inhabit is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer specialized in steel bridge design, construction, inspection and rehabilitation. The role involves overseeing engineering activities, ensuring compliance with international standards and client expectations throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Review and verify structural designs, calculations and shop drawings for steel bridge projects.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely delivery.
• Monitor construction activities for compliance with approved drawings, specifications and quality standards.
• Conduct structural assessments, inspections and condition surveys of steel bridges and recommend repair or strengthening solutions.
• Prepare engineering reports, technical submissions, method statements and project documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in steel bridge projects, including design, construction, inspection or rehabilitation.
• Valid UAE driving licence.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
