Structural Inspector (Concrete) - Site

About the role

A site-based Structural Inspector (Concrete) is needed in Dubai to supervise and inspect all concrete-related works on a construction project. The role covers casting, curing and finishing, and ensures compliance with approved drawings, specifications, codes and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor concrete activities on site, including casting, curing and finishing.
• Inspect concrete works against approved drawings, specifications, codes and quality standards, and report non-conformances immediately to site leads.
• Verify concrete mix designs, materials and batching processes.
• Witness onsite testing such as slump tests, cube/cylinder tests and other quality control checks.
• Monitor reinforcement placement, formwork and embedment of inserts before pouring, and ensure proper curing practices.
• Document inspections through IRs and checklists, keep daily site diaries and photographic records, and prepare inspection reports.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors and project teams, and support quality control and assurance teams.
• Take part in project meetings, prepare site measurements and surveying checks when requested by the client or site leads, and ensure safety and environmental compliance.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in construction supervision with a consultancy.
• Certification in concrete technology or a related specialization is an advantage.
• Team working, influencing and delivering results competencies.
