Structural Inspector – Site Supervision (Abu Dhabi)

About the role

AECOM is looking for a detail‑oriented Structural Inspector to join its Abu Dhabi team. In this on‑site supervision role you will ensure that construction projects meet the highest structural quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough structural inspections of buildings and construction sites, verifying compliance with UAE building codes and international best practices.
• Supervise on‑site activities, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to structural specifications and design requirements.
• Document inspection findings, defects, and non‑conformities with detailed reports and photographic evidence.
• Analyze structural components and materials for quality, safety, and compliance.
• Identify potential structural issues and recommend corrective actions to project management and engineering teams.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to resolve structural concerns and ensure timely remediation.
• Maintain organized inspection records, documentation, and databases for project tracking and regulatory compliance.
• Perform site measurements and assessments using specialized equipment and tools.
• Communicate inspection results and recommendations clearly to all stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 + years of experience in structural inspection, site supervision, or quality assurance within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of UAE building codes, structural engineering principles, and safety regulations.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to produce precise, professional documentation.
• Proactive attitude with a commitment to identifying and resolving structural defects.
