Structural Inspector Site Supervision

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Structural Inspector to join AECOM’s Abu Dhabi team. In this on‑site supervision position you will lead comprehensive structural inspections, ensure compliance with UAE building codes and international standards, and uphold the highest quality assurance throughout construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough structural inspections of buildings and construction sites, assessing integrity and code compliance.
• Supervise on‑site activities, monitor progress and verify adherence to structural specifications and design requirements.
• Document findings, defects and non‑conformities with detailed reports and photographic evidence.
• Analyze structural components and materials for quality, safety and compliance with UAE standards and best practices.
• Identify potential issues, recommend corrective actions and collaborate with project management, engineers, architects and contractors.
• Maintain organized inspection records, databases and regulatory documentation.
• Perform site measurements and assessments using specialized inspection equipment.
• Communicate inspection results and recommendations clearly to all stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience in structural inspection, site supervision or quality assurance within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of UAE building codes, structural engineering principles and safety regulations.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently on‑site and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
