Style Executive - Housekeeping

About the role

W Hotels is hiring a Style Executive for its Housekeeping department in West Crescent, Palm Jumeirah, Dubai. This is a full-time, non-management position responsible for checking the quality of cleaned rooms and public areas, running room reports and supporting housekeeping management.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms, public areas and the pool after cleaning to ensure quality standards.
• Run sold room reports, verify room status, identify discrepant rooms, prioritise cleaning and update the status of departing guest rooms.
• Assist housekeeping management with daily activities and act as a liaison between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office and Laundry.
• Document and resolve discrepant rooms with the Front Desk, prepare and distribute room assignment changes, and brief the next shift.
• Complete required paperwork and help with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, coaching and discipline of staff.
• Follow company and safety policies, report maintenance problems and hazards, and complete safety training.
• Welcome guests, anticipate their needs, assist people with disabilities and maintain professional appearance and confidentiality.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
• At least 1 year of related work experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
• No license or certification required.

Required skills

• Ability to move objects up to 55 pounds alone and more with assistance, and to operate a housekeeping cart and machinery on uneven surfaces.
• Reading small print and entering information on computers or point-of-sale systems.
• Physical stamina to stand, sit, kneel or walk for an entire shift.
