Support Craft Electrical Technician

About the role

The Support Craft Electrical Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining power and control systems on marine vessels, ensuring reliable operation of Caterpillar marine engines and associated electrical equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and corrective electrical maintenance on control panels, PLC systems and power distribution units.
• Use electronic diagnostic tools to identify faults in Caterpillar engines and related control systems.
• Interpret electrical schematics, select required spare parts and maintain accurate maintenance logs.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and provide regular updates on task progress and issues.
• Collaborate with other departments and support colleagues during maintenance activities while adhering to HSE policies.

Required profile

• Higher Technical Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Hands‑on experience with marine vessel electrical systems and Caterpillar marine engines.
• Ability to follow technical procedures and escalate complex problems to supervisors.
