Survey Data Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Survey Data Engineer to transform raw survey data from tenders and projects into usable grid models, drawings and volume calculations. The role supports dredging and reclamation activities by producing accurate survey documentation and design updates throughout project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Process survey data into grid models, drawings, cross‑sections and calculate actual and theoretical volumes.
• Prepare preliminary, weekly, interim and final dredging/reclamation documents based on survey results.
• Develop work designs from design information or construction drawings and update them as projects progress.
• Install, troubleshoot and maintain survey equipment, hardware and software as needed.
• Report critical issues to the Head of Survey and ensure compliance with QA/HSE policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Hydrography, Marine or Land Survey, Geodetic Engineering, Marine Engineering, Geomatics or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum six years of experience in marine or infrastructure survey work.
• Strong teamwork, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to take ownership of objectives and support sub‑ordinates to achieve results.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in GIS software.
• Advanced proficiency in CAD software.
• Strong knowledge of survey data processing techniques.
• Experience with data management systems.
• Installation and troubleshooting of survey equipment, hardware and software.
