About the role
The Tailor at Aloft Abu Dhabi is responsible for maintaining guest clothing and employee uniforms through mend, repair, and alteration services. The role ensures that all uniforms meet company standards for appearance and functionality.
Key responsibilities
- Mend, repair, and alter guest clothing and employee uniforms using hand stitching, adhesive patches, or a sewing machine.
- Distribute clean uniforms to staff, record uniform inventory, and send damaged items to the appropriate repair location.
- Document guest requests for laundry, dry cleaning, minor repairs, and pressing in line with company procedures.
- Inspect uniforms for damage, remove substandard items from circulation, and issue replacements.
Required profile
- At least 1 year of related tailoring or uniform repair experience.
- No specific educational requirement (high school diploma or GED not required).
Required skills
- Hand stitching
- Use of adhesive patches
- Operation of a sewing machine
