About the role
The Tally Clerk is responsible for accurately recording, verifying and monitoring the movement of goods, containers and inventory within the warehouse, yard or terminal. You will ensure that all inbound and outbound cargo is correctly accounted for and that any discrepancies are reported promptly.
Key responsibilities
- Verify and record all incoming and outgoing cargo against shipping documents, manifests and system records.
- Maintain accurate tally sheets, inventory records and operational logs, and report shortages, damages or overages.
- Assist in stock counts, inventory audits and cycle‑counting activities, and monitor loading/unloading operations.
Required profile
- High school diploma (or equivalent); a diploma in logistics, supply chain or warehousing is preferred.
- 1‑3 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, cargo handling or inventory operations.
- Ability to work shifts, weekends and holidays as required.
Required skills
- Proficiency with ERP systems.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience using inventory software or warehouse management systems.
