Tax Compliance Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Tax Compliance Specialist to join our client’s accounting team in Dubai. Reporting to the Gulf Chief Administrative Officer, you will work closely with internal finance, global tax teams and external advisors to ensure full compliance with UAE tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage monthly VAT compliance processes, preparing and filing returns accurately and on time.
• Oversee annual Corporate Income Tax (CIT) compliance in coordination with external advisors.
• Support Transfer Pricing compliance activities together with external consultants.
• Collaborate with accounting, finance and global tax teams on tax‑related accounting entries and reporting.
• Provide guidance to local business units on the tax implications of transactions.
• Handle communications with the Federal Tax Authority (FTA) for queries, audits and regulatory matters.
• Coordinate tax matters for foreign branches of UAE entities with international teams and advisors.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in a tax compliance role focused on UAE taxation.
• Strong knowledge of VAT, Corporate Income Tax and Transfer Pricing regulations in the UAE.
• Proven experience liaising with the Federal Tax Authority and other regulatory bodies.
• Ability to work effectively across multiple internal and external stakeholders.

Required skills

• In‑depth understanding of UAE VAT legislation.
• Expertise in UAE Corporate Income Tax compliance.
• Familiarity with Transfer Pricing rules and documentation.
• Effective communication with tax authorities and external advisors.
