Team Leader, Business Development (Offshore Chartering)

About the role

A global energy maritime logistics leader, which acts as the logistics arm of ADNOC Group, is looking for a Team Leader, Business Development (Offshore Chartering). The role provides leadership and direction to the Chartering team, plans and coordinates its activities, takes part in formulating commercial strategies and supports the Commercial Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in formulating tendering strategies (Charter In/Out) to win contracts, ensuring transparency, fairness and good commercial practice
• Supervise and coordinate the commercial team's activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives
• Take part in planning short-, medium- and long-term business strategies and help develop the business unit's commercial strategy
• Attend clients' and contractors' tendering meetings as required
• Support the Commercial Manager in delivering department objectives and compliance with processes
• Help evaluate monthly management reports, prepare summaries, comment and recommend action plans
• Identify areas for performance improvement with other commercial sections and coach teams
• Train and develop staff, contribute to budgets and highlight significant variances
• Implement approved policies, processes and standards, and contribute to performance objectives
• Design new tools and techniques to improve process quality and efficiency, and comply with HSE policies and ADNOC Code of Practices

Required profile

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering or an equivalent professional qualification
• At least 15 years of experience in commercial and chartering
• Experience in the offshore industry (offshore/onshore)
• Regional experience in the GCC (with IOC/NOC/EPC)
