Technical Document Engineer (MEP)

About the role

Wasael Property Management is looking for a Technical Document Engineer in Abu Dhabi to manage and control all MEP technical documentation and graphical information across properties under Salayel management. The role ensures drawings and project records are accurate, standardized and up to date, supporting maintenance, asset management and project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain updated MEP drawings for all managed sites and act as custodian and single point of contact for technical drawings and graphical records
• Maintain approved shop drawings, as-built drawings and design calculations (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection)
• Maintain project files, method statements, technical documents and correspondence, and coordinate with contractors to collect and archive completion certificates, warranties, O&M manuals and handover documents
• Develop and implement a standardized graphical documentation methodology and update drawings to reflect site changes and support CAFM integration
• Prepare MEP project execution programs with Fit-Out and Facility Services teams, and prepare CAPEX and OPEX purchase requests for approval
• Perform other duties assigned by the Asset Manager

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• AutoCAD certification
• Minimum 5 years in MEP design and project execution (3+ years in the UAE preferred)
