Technical Procurement Specialist - Industrial Equipment

About the role

A newly established Dubai-based procurement business serving corporate clients worldwide is looking for a Technical Procurement Specialist. The company sources and purchases industrial equipment, spare parts, machinery components and other commercial goods from international suppliers. The successful candidate will manage the procurement process independently, from understanding client needs and finding suppliers to negotiating prices and ensuring timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage procurement requests from initial enquiry through purchasing and delivery coordination.
• Interpret technical specifications, drawings and product requirements to identify suitable products and suppliers.
• Source industrial equipment, machinery components, spare parts and other commercial goods from international markets.
• Identify, evaluate and build relationships with manufacturers, suppliers and distributors.
• Request and compare supplier quotations on price, quality, specifications and delivery timelines.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms and other commercial conditions with suppliers.
• Prepare and manage purchase orders and follow up on confirmations and deliveries.
• Coordinate with clients, suppliers and logistics partners and monitor order progress.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases and purchasing documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, Supply Chain Management, Procurement or a related field.
• Proven experience in technical procurement, purchasing or sourcing, preferably with industrial equipment, machinery, spare parts or engineering components.
• Fluent English communication skills are essential.
• Established supplier and manufacturer contacts are an advantage.
