Technical Services Engineer I – Cabin Upgrades & Inflight Entertainment

About the role

The Technical Services Engineer I will support Emirates’ cabin upgrade and reconfiguration programmes, focusing on inflight entertainment and connectivity systems. The role ensures continuing airworthiness, regulatory compliance and cost‑effective operation of the cabin interior across the fleet.

Key responsibilities

• Provide fleet technical management and continuing airworthiness support for cabin interior upgrades.
• Evaluate manufacturers’ and regulatory authorities’ technical documents and update internal Engineering Orders and Special Engineering Workcards.
• Analyse in‑service data such as tech logs, pilot reports and defect records to drive reliability and maintainability improvements.
• Deliver technical assistance during disruption scenarios, including AOG handling, troubleshooting and resolution of chronic or deferred defects.
• Develop standard operating procedures, in‑house repair methods and alternate part usage under Part 21 Design Organisation privileges.
• Support acquisition of new aircraft and end‑of‑lease activities related to cabin systems.
• Act as technical liaison with aircraft, engine and component manufacturers and internal stakeholders to address significant faults and design issues.
