Technician - Material Handling Equipment

About the role

The Technician role requires maintaining up‑to‑date knowledge of the technical aspects of Toyota Material Handling Equipment. The primary objective is to diagnose and repair equipment effectively and efficiently, ensuring problems are resolved on the first attempt.

Key responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and electrical repairs, troubleshooting, and diagnosing of Toyota Material Handling Equipment, including electric/BT/VNA issues.
• Read and implement workshop manual instructions and service checklists to minimise repeat complaints.
• Diagnose faults and recommend effective solutions, adopting best practices to improve productivity and efficiency.
• Maintain effective communication with the foreman/service supervisor and proactively identify potential problems in both workshop and field environments.

Required profile

• Basic/technical education or apprenticeship with a trade certificate/diploma in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering.
• Proven technical expertise in independently servicing, repairing, and overhauling components.
• At least 5 years of experience with material handling equipment, preferably Toyota/BT.
• UAE manual driving licence (mandatory).

Required skills

• Mechanical repair and diagnostic skills.
• Electrical repair and troubleshooting, including electric/BT/VNA systems.
• Proficiency in reading and applying workshop manuals and service checklists.
• Knowledge of Toyota Material Handling Equipment.
