Tenure-Track Psychology Professor (Social/Developmental)

About the role

The Division of Science at NYU Abu Dhabi seeks a tenure‑track faculty member in Psychology with a focus on social and social‑developmental research. The position is open‑rank, with a primary emphasis on the Assistant Professor level, and offers the opportunity to join a vibrant, interdisciplinary research community.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an independent, high‑impact research program in social and/or developmental psychology.
• Teach undergraduate courses and mentor a diverse student body.
• Collaborate across NYU’s global campuses and contribute to interdisciplinary initiatives.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Psychology or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated record or trajectory toward internationally recognized research.
• Commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring.

Required skills

• Experience with neuroimaging technologies (MRI, MEG, fMRI).
• Proficiency in EEG, eye‑tracking, and multimodal data acquisition.
• Familiarity with high‑performance computing resources.
• Use of behavioral testing tools, virtual reality, robotics, and physiological measurement equipment.
