Testing Inspection & Certification (TIC) Technician

About the role

The Testing, Inspection & Certification (TIC) Technician conducts visual, non‑destructive testing (NDT) and Magnetic Rope Testing (MRT) inspections of equipment such as cranes and lifting wire ropes for Motive FZE and its clients. The role involves on‑site inspections, wire‑rope handling, and supporting both onshore and offshore projects while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform visual assessments, NDT and MRT inspections of rental fleet and lifting equipment.
• Manage wire‑rope spooling, socketing, and crane wire‑rope installation/removal.
• Maintain and update the online certification database and issue inspection reports and certificates.
• Support offshore operations and travel across UAE/GCC as required.

Required profile

• Fluent English with strong communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team under pressure.
• Willingness to travel and work on onshore and offshore projects.

Required skills

• Non‑Destructive Testing certification (e.g., PCN, ASNT) covering PT, MT, ET.
• Magnetic Rope Testing (MRT/EMAG) competency.
• Experience with crane, winch and lifting equipment inspection.
• Rope access certification (can be provided) and offshore survival & medical training (can be provided).
