Tower Crane Electrical Engineer

About the role

Arada seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to ensure reliable and safe electrical systems for tower cranes. The role involves inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical support during commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise installation, inspection, testing and maintenance of crane electrical systems and components.
• Provide technical support for complex faults in motors, control panels, drives, sensors, limit switches and safety circuits.
• Inspect and maintain PLC, VFD, control and monitoring systems to guarantee reliable crane operation.
• Calculate total power demand and perform cable sizing for tower cranes.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and periodic electrical inspections according to schedules.
• Maintain electrical protection, emergency stop and safety system functionality.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of electrical maintenance or engineering experience with tower cranes or industrial electricity.
• BSc degree in Electrical Engineering and relevant certifications.
• Ability to train and assess tower crane electricians.

Required skills

• PLC programming and troubleshooting.
• Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) knowledge.
• Electrical power demand calculation and cable sizing.
• Preventive maintenance of electrical systems.
• Electrical protection, emergency stop and safety circuit expertise.
