Trading Assistant

About the role

Join Millennium's Fixed Income trading pod in Dubai as a Trading Assistant, supporting a team preparing for an external spinout and focusing on disciplined risk management and high-quality results.

Key responsibilities

• Capture traded risk accurately across a broad Fixed Income product universe, including swaps, bonds, FX, inflation, rates volatility derivatives, futures, and options.
• Serve as a key point of contact between Portfolio Managers, sales teams, and brokers to agree trade details and resolve issues.
• Partner with Middle Office, Operations, Technology, and Business Management to ensure timely, accurate trade processing.
• Monitor and improve trading book efficiency, including FX cash balance cleanups and trade lifecycle management.
• Identify and deliver tactical process enhancements that add value for the team and Portfolio Managers.
• Provide backup trade execution support and front‑line trading assistance during the transition to an independent fund.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in a trade assistant or trading desk support role.
• Strong interest in Fixed Income and derivatives markets.
• Proactive approach to improving processes and operating models.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Adaptability and openness to expanding the role as the business evolves.
