Vehicle Technician (AV Sensor & Mechanical Inspection)

About the role

Moove is seeking a Vehicle Technician to join its autonomous‑vehicle fleet in Dubai. You will be the specialist eye on the sensor stack and mechanical assembly, ensuring every hardware component meets safety and operational standards before vehicles are deployed.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct structured inspections of Lidar, Radar, cameras, ultrasonic sensors and compute units.
• Verify correct installation, alignment, physical condition and connectivity using defined checklists and SOPs.
• Perform functional hardware checks and sensor readiness validations for pre‑deployment clearance.
• Inspect mounting brackets, fasteners, clamps and vibration isolators for proper torque and condition.
• Check cable routing, strain relief and connector seating across sensor wiring harnesses.
• Document findings accurately and support root‑cause analysis with engineering and AV Safety teams.

Required profile

• Junior to mid‑level hands‑on technician with a strong interest in autonomous‑vehicle hardware.
• Ability to follow detailed inspection procedures and maintain precise records.
• Comfort working in a fast‑growing, technology‑driven environment.

Required skills

• Experience inspecting Lidar, Radar, camera and ultrasonic sensor systems.
• Knowledge of compute unit hardware and wiring harnesses.
• Mechanical inspection skills, including torque tools and fastener verification.
• Understanding of environmental impacts (heat, dust, humidity) on sensor performance.
