Vendor / Category Manager – Deliveroo Hop UAE

About the role

The Vendor / Category Manager will own the performance of a product category within Deliveroo Hop, the 24/7 digital supermarket. Working from the Dubai office on a hybrid schedule, you will shape category strategy, manage vendor relationships and drive growth.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Vendor Management Lead in range selection, pricing and promotional planning aligned with Deliveroo Hop’s value proposition.
• Monitor SKU performance, optimise the assortment and execute plans to achieve sustainable growth.
• Develop and manage relationships with local and international grocery suppliers, negotiate contracts and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Analyse vendor performance, resolve disputes, and collaborate with the in‑stock team to maintain inventory levels.
• Track market trends and competitor activity to identify new vendor and product opportunities.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in vendor or category management, preferably in grocery or FMCG.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving mindset with the ability to evaluate performance data.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills to build partnerships and resolve issues.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment and adapt to market changes.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel / Google Sheets proficiency.
• Familiarity with data‑analysis tools such as SQL, Tableau or Power BI.
