Videographer – University Marketing

About the role

The American University in the Emirates is looking for a creative Videographer to produce high‑quality video content that showcases the university’s brand, academic programs, campus life, and events. You will work closely with the Marketing Department and other internal stakeholders to deliver visual stories that support recruitment, student engagement, and fundraising initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, film, and edit video projects according to briefs and event schedules.
• Operate and maintain DSLR and digital cinema cameras, lighting rigs, and audio gear.
• Capture on‑site footage ensuring proper framing, lighting, composition, and sound.
• Integrate graphics, animations, text overlays, transitions, and visual effects during post‑production.
• Maintain an organized archive of all video assets and media files.
• Collaborate with the Social Media team to align video output with digital marketing calendars.
• Provide video coverage for major university events such as conferences, graduations, and community initiatives.
• Support advancement and fundraising campaigns with donor‑focused visual content.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Media Production, Film Studies, Multimedia or a related field.
• 2–4 years of professional videography, editing, and post‑production experience.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating creative storytelling and technical proficiency.

Required skills

• Proficiency with DSLR and digital cinema cameras.
• Experience operating lighting and audio equipment.
• Advanced video editing skills (including graphics, animation, text overlay, and visual effects).
• Ability to manage and archive video assets efficiently.
• Familiarity with social media video formats and publishing schedules.
