VP & Head of Audit, Information Security

About the role

FAB Group is looking for a VP and Head of Audit covering Information Security, Business Continuity Management (BCM), Data Domain (Data Governance, Data Privacy, Data Analytics & AI), Group Technology and System Integration projects. The role plans and executes audits across the UAE and all international locations, provides assurance to management by identifying weaknesses, reports significant findings and escalates them, and acts as the day-to-day audit contact for the GSO, GT and Data functions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead audits of Information Security, BCM, IT, Data Domain and System Integration functions in the UAE and internationally, in line with the Annual Plan
• Provide guidance and on-the-job training to junior colleagues and promote the organisation's values and ethics
• Monitor budget performance of audited areas and report variances to management
• Execute GIA policies, guidance notes, procedures and practice notes, and contribute to developing GIA practices
• Maintain the Audit Universe, prepare risk assessments for each process stream and coordinate coverage with other teams
• Conduct audits, review draft reports, negotiate documented management action plans and follow up corrective actions
• Lead continuous improvement of processes and act as the Audit Business Partner to line managers, reviewing gaps between audit findings and business self-assessments
• Prepare functional reports, audit MIS/dashboards and audit committee slides, and investigate special reviews requested by the Head of Audit, GCAO or SVP
• Keep up to date with regulatory developments and banking practices, and interpret them into control and evidence expectations
