Waiter - The Abu Dhabi EDITION

About the role

The Abu Dhabi EDITION is looking for a waiter to serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests. The role covers table setting, communication with the kitchen, guest service and end-of-shift closing duties.

Key responsibilities

• Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests and set tables according to event type and service standards.
• Answer questions about menu selections and communicate menu issues, wait times, re-cooked orders and product availability to the kitchen.
• Pass on meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs and special requests to the kitchen.
• Record transactions in the MICROS system at the time of order and check in with guests to confirm satisfaction with each course and beverage.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china and glass, and complete closing duties such as restocking and turning off lights.
• Present an accurate check to the guest and process payment.
• Follow company and safety/security policies, report accidents and unsafe conditions, complete safety training and certifications, and keep a professional appearance.
• Welcome guests, anticipate their needs, assist people with disabilities and speak clearly and professionally.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related work experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Able to stand, sit or walk for long periods, lift up to 25 pounds unassisted and move over uneven or slippery surfaces.
