Welding Inspection Lecturer

About the role

We are seeking a Welding Inspection Lecturer to deliver high‑quality teaching for certification programmes at all levels. The role involves planning and delivering training courses, monitoring student progress and contributing to the development of innovative teaching practices.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures and practical sessions on welding inspection and related processes.
• Develop and follow approved lesson plans for certification courses.
• Monitor and assess student progress on an ongoing basis.
• Identify and integrate innovative teaching methods into the curriculum.
• Lead specific program areas or courses as required.
• Provide academic advice, counselling and support to students.
• Collaborate with technical, teaching and administrative staff to ensure a quality learning environment.
• Participate in research and knowledge‑transfer projects and maintain a high‑impact research profile.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering; CSWIP 3.2 certification preferred.
• Proven site project experience combined with teaching experience.
• Strong knowledge of welding processes (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, SAW, FCAW) and welding defects.
• Familiarity with welding procedure specifications (WPS/PQR) and international codes (ISO, ASME, AWS, API).
• Track record of high‑level teaching and innovation in learning.
