Workshop Supervisor - Heavy Vehicle or Equipment

About the role

Careers International is hiring an experienced Workshop Supervisor for heavy vehicles or heavy equipment in Dubai. The supervisor oversees daily workshop operations, manages the repair workflow and ensures timely completion of service, maintenance, diagnostics and repair jobs. The role involves coordinating with Service Managers on technical issues, warranty cases and productivity improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily workshop operations and supervise technicians, mechanics, team leaders and other staff
• Plan and allocate jobs by skill, workload, priority and delivery timeline, and monitor progress against quality and safety standards
• Provide technical support during diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance
• Coordinate spare parts, parts availability, repair approvals and job card updates
• Monitor technician performance and productivity using KPIs, and support productivity improvement and reduced downtime
• Support inspections, pre-delivery inspections, final quality checks and delivery processes
• Ensure accurate documentation of job cards, repair reports, inspection sheets, warranty reports and service records
• Maintain a safe, clean workshop in line with QHSEMS and company standards, and ensure technicians follow manufacturer guidelines and dealership processes

Required profile

• B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering
• Minimum 7-8 years of experience in heavy commercial vehicle or heavy equipment workshop operations
• Previous experience as Workshop Supervisor, Foreman, Team Lead, Workshop In-Charge or Senior Technician
• Mandatory experience with an authorized dealership
• Preferred: heavy trucks, buses, trailers; construction equipment; forklifts, loaders, excavators, shovels; fleet maintenance, warranty and technical support; PDI and final inspection

Required skills

• Strong technical knowledge of heavy vehicle and equipment diagnostics, repair, service and preventive maintenance
• Experience supervising a team of technicians and mechanics
• Knowledge of job card management, repair estimation, service quality and delivery timelines
• Ability to use ERP software, service management systems and workshop reporting tools
• Knowledge of QHSEMS and workshop safety standards
