Account Director – Inflight Entertainment

About the role

The Account Director – Inflight Entertainment will be responsible for managing the commercial relationship with a strategic airline client in the United Arab Emirates. Reporting to senior leadership, the role acts as the customer’s advocate inside Thales, ensuring that the airline’s needs are understood and met across the full Thales portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end commercial relationship with a key airline account, acting as the primary point of contact and decision‑maker on commercial matters.
• Develop and execute a long‑term, customer‑centric account strategy that drives sustainable, profitable growth above market.
• Collaborate with internal functions (engineering, program management, finance, legal) to translate customer requirements into viable solutions.
• Identify and pursue opportunities to expand digital, connectivity and recurring‑service revenue alongside the core IFE hardware offering.
• Gather market and customer intelligence, build strong stakeholder relationships, and serve as the escalation point for any account issues.
• Communicate the value of the entire Thales Group portfolio to the airline and negotiate contracts that protect profit and loss targets.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing strategic airline accounts or similar large‑scale commercial relationships in aerospace or inflight entertainment.
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering profitable order intake and increasing wallet share.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to influence internal teams and external customers.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast‑moving, technology‑driven environment.
