Accountant – Financial Operations in Dubai

About the role

Ocean Star Waterproofing is looking for a diligent Accountant to manage its financial documentation, daily transaction logs, ledger balances, project profitability, and local tax compliance for its Dubai operations.

Key responsibilities

• Log daily revenues, operational expenditures, invoices, receipts, and payment vouchers.
• Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable schedules, including follow‑up on overdue customer accounts.
• Perform routine bank and cash reconciliations and supervise petty‑cash transactions and advances.
• Track project‑based revenues, expenditures, and net profitability metrics.
• Maintain complete VAT document archives and assist with periodic UAE VAT filing.
• Coordinate with financial auditors, vendors, and commercial clients as needed.

Required profile

• Degree or certification in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
• Practical familiarity with general accounting principles and UAE VAT guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with accounting ERP platforms.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and filing procedures.
• Proficiency in standard accounting software.
